The name Whispers Book Den is inspired by the late Wahome Mutahi a.k.a. Whispers
A renowned caricaturist, Madd, who worked on his cartoons, describes him as an ‘intelligent, brilliant, vibrant and highly innovative – one of those people said to occur in a country only once in a century’. It is this one-in-a-century memory that Whispers Book Den wishes to revive.
By combining creative works from a variety of authors, writers, playwrights, actors, poets, editors and publishers, we believe we can inspire Kenyans into appreciating literary works.
Our cause is therefore to support local talent by creating a platform to showcase books, fine art and performing art.
